Barcelona invites elite Puerto Rican soccer player
A young Puerto Rican promise is making his way in the country that is the king of soccer and where soccer is king. We refer to Spain, the flamboyant champion of the 2010 World Cup, besides being the champion of the 2008 European Cup.
Our prospect is Emmanuel D’Andrea, a 15-year soccer player developed by Soccer Elite AR (http://www.prsoccerelite.org/), chaired by Irma Milián. Soccer Elite AR is a program for the development of high-performance soccer players featuring Prof. Modesto Montero as Head Coach and Luis “Palomo” García as Assistant Coach, who represent the highest commitment and dedication to the development of competitive soccer inPuerto Rico. Emmanuel was one of the youngest players in the sub-15 Puerto Rico national team and has participated at a young age in tournaments in Europe, the United States and Puerto Rico.
The excellent performance of Emmanuel reached the ears of a first division team in Spain, the RCD Espanyol(http://www.rcdespanyol.com/) of Barcelona, which extended an invitation to Emmanuel to be evaluated by the Spanish technicians. In this new stage of his life, Emmanuel has a very clear goal: to pass the test with the team and continue his development to make it into “La Liga”, the Spanish first division soccer league.
